Knox Hutchinson, SPOTO trainer, covers the knowledge network administrators’ needs to manage, administer, and troubleshoot Juniper’s spanning tree protocol. This ensures a reliable and accurate link tree.
This is the new Juniper training.
The Spanning Tree Protocol is an innovative technical solution to a very complex problem. Its complex algorithm produces a map of every link in a network. Its true brilliance lies not in its ability recognize loops in the network and disable them from the tree. These loops are necessary for redundancy but would cause havoc when trying to create a network tree with all the links.
This Juniper Spanning Tree Protocol training (STP), explains the functionality of STP for Juniper devices and places the power of the protocol as well as the troves data it generates in the hands of trained network administrators.
This one-part series covers topics like understanding the different uses for STP on Juniper router models, managing the unique commands on Juniper devices and specifying extended Junos system identifiers.
